Ethiopia Family Empowerment Project
Provide food, shelter, clothing, and medication for vulnerable children
Keep Ethiopian children from poverty and homelessness. Help families stay intact.
Although America World is currently unable to process international adoptions from Ethiopia, the urgent need to protect children remains. Children are still orphaned due to political unrest, disease, and extreme poverty.
For over 10 years, America World has been honored to partner with the local government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to provide monthly support for vulnerable children who are still residing with their biological families. This program allows families to stay intact by helping to fund their most basic needs: food, shelter, clothing, and medication.
Forty-five dollars. It is not a lot for most of us. Yet this small monthly commitment is life-changing and life-sustaining for our friends who count on this program.

“‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’”
